Chi-Yu Wu was born in 1986 in Taipei,Taiwan and will start a Rijksakademie Residency in Amsterdam in 2013. He holds a Master of Media Art from Taipei National University of the Arts (2011). His work is often site specific and focuses on the memories of living urban environments.

What concepts of the future exist in times of social, economic and political crisis, in times of spreading poverty, corruption and mistrust towards democratic processes? Do visions of a better future exist at all? Or have we already caught up with our blooming future visions and dumped them in the dustbin of history?
