Originally, however, this meant the publication of information, the step into the public arena. In the digital era, progressive media practice and the commercialisation of public space are becoming more pervasive. The mass media are multiplying their channels and are homogenising their contents.

The visitor indicates the name of a website which he desires to visit and then begins to crank: the page is loaded, bit by bit, and copy and images appear in the browserwindow, depending on the cranking speed.

The audience as well as the artists were asked to go public with their ideas on how to design public space in the digital era.
