15 seconds of a movie - classic (Citizen Kane), with Orson Welles holding an election speech, are deconstructed with the help of a computer and a laserdisc. What ermerges was there all the time: absurdity. (VideoFest '90)

By way of some simple diagrams and a number of fragments from films and documentaries, Parallel Worlds not only demonstrates the existence of parallel worlds, but at the same  time proves that it is possible to place oneself therein. Hereby not so much a physical displacement is meant but rather a mental displacement.

In reference to the trailer of Psycho (USA 1960), narrated in German by Alfred Hitchcock himself, a gardener with a chainsaw guides us through the premises of the Herbert Gerisch Foundation in Schleswig-Holstein 51 years later. The visit ends, just like in the original trailer..., in a bathroom.
